I'm bringing back the Willow Tops, due to popular demand. I'll be bringing back the original, plus a style with a ruffley twist! They should be up for sale within a week. If you would like to see them (or me!) in person, I will be at the Shadow Art Fair, July 18th, noon - midnight.

I updated the site with some new spring items, Magellan Dresses and Raleigh tops. You'll have to excuse the poorly-lit photos, Michigan has been insanely rainy and overcast lately so it's been difficult to get good pictures. If you're wondering why all my new items haven't been appearing on the site, it's because I've been doing a lot of shows lately, and people have been buying the clothes faster than I can make them! If you'd like to have a chance to see them in person, come check out the Flint City Handmade Spring Market this Saturday. You can even have a chance to win one of my Michigan-themed shower curtains in the raffle!

It's time for the Spring Sale! 25% off everything in the store. New items for Spring/Summer '09 will be coming soon. You'll also be able to see them in person at the following events: 4/2 Craft Revival: Detroit, MI 5/2 Flint City Handmade Spring Market: Flint, MI and 5/25 Maple Days Art Fair: Walled Lake, MI. Also, one of my goals this year is to keep the blog updated, at least weekly, so it will now be worth checking out for an inside look at Always the Forest!

I've updated the site with the few things that were left from the Detroit Urban Craft Fair, plus a few new things. A great big thanks to everyone who came to see me, you guys pretty much cleaned out my inventory! I still have to update the accessories page with the Weekender Bags and a new suprise winter item. I will be selling at the Renegade Craft Fair Holiday sale in Chicago this weekend, more info about that can be found at www.renegadecraft.com/holiday/. Alright, back to work!

Wow! Finally updated! Our first Renegade Craft Fair was successful, despite the torrential rain. I was so glad to see a lot of people show up, even in the downpour. Thanks guys! I don't think I've ever seen such a large collection of rainboots and umbrellas. I have the Willow Tops up this week, along with the few Robin Dresses and tops left over from Renegade. A note on the sizing: If you bought something from me prior to 7/30/08, I have changed my sizing since then, so you will be another size. Everything runs a little larger now, so be sure to check the measurements I have listed. I'll be working on cranking out more Robin Dresses and tops this week, and Weekender Bags finally. So go have a look, and look back again soon, I think I'm getting the hang of this constant making thing.

We've added some aeronaut t-shirts to the shop! We hand screen printed them with care and love. And
sleepiness too, we stayed up until seven a.m. the next morning finishing them. They're limited edition,
so get yourself one before they're all gone.

Always the Forest is going to be in this year's Detroit Urban Craft Fair! "The Detroit Urban Craft Fair
is an alternative craft fair featuring 50+ independent, DIY artists and crafters. DUCF exists around a
community market feel, encouraging the interaction of maker and buyer, while showcasing a wealth of
handmade talent." Natalie and I went last year and it rocked our socks off! So yeah, come see us and all
the other amazing craftsters there and come support the DIY movement. I promise, you'll dig it. It's on
